Leib Leaderman-Bray (they/them/theirs) joins TLDEF’s development team with a background in fundraising and community organizing in progressive politics, labor organizations, and Jewish nonprofits.  After graduating from UMass Amherst with a degree in Sociology, Leib began their career organizing thousands of college students to build a progressive movement of young Jews for ending the occupation of Palestine. In the years since, they have worked in the labor world, including on the successful 2017 campaign for a $15 minimum wage in Massachusetts.  For the past two years, Leib supported Jewish young adults in hosting affordable, accessible, and transformative Shabbat dinners through OneTable.

Leib’s trans, Jewish, and queer identities contribute to their strong sense of justice. They are passionate about fundraising as a means to redistribute wealth and build a more just society. Leib is thrilled to be joining TLDEF’s team and helping to secure financial support for the legal needs of the trans community.
