Shayna Medley, Staff Attorney

Shayna Medley (she/her/hers or they/them/theirs) is a litigator with experience working on a range of LGBTQ+ and reproductive justice issues. Most recently, Shayna worked as a Litigation Fellow at the Center for Reproductive Rights challenging various state restrictions on abortion access, including as counsel in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization before the Supreme Court. Previously, Shayna clerked for the Honorable Alegnon Marbley on the Southern District of Ohio and worked as a Skadden Fellow at the ACLU LGBTQ & HIV Project focusing on anti-discrimination protections for transgender youth in schools.

Shayna is also a visiting Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School and her scholarship has appeared in the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, Harvard Journal of Law & Gender, and N.Y.U. Review of Law & Social Change. Outside of work, Shayna enjoys cooking, indoor rock climbing, hanging out with their dogs, thrift shopping, and watching makeup tutorials.
